What Does a Middle School Conselor Do?
Wilbur Wright Middle School is staffed with professional educators committed to assisting students, teachers, parents and administrators.  The role of the Guidance Department is to contribute to the effective operation of the school by promoting and assisting students in academic, social and emotional growth.
  • Individual and group counseling

  • Promoting positive attitudes and choices      

  • Developing personal and social skills      

  • Classroom guidance lessons on topics such as: study skills, peer relations, bullying      

  • Individual student planning: setting goals, scheduling, studying career paths      

  • Aiding parents and teachers in helping students succeed       

  • Coordinating referrals to outside agencies
